Apr 20 1959 Ludwig Transitional Badge 'Supreme Concert' 14x5.5" in Green & Gold Duco

3-ply legendary shell - mahogany (inner) / poplar / maple (outer) with maple reinforcing rings.
All original nickel over brass hardware and original hard to beat, Green & Gold Duco lacquer finish.
In the 60’s, the 6-lug wooden snare was marketed as the ‘Pioneer’ which is the much more common version. The Pioneer was 5” deep but the Supreme Concert, the predecessor, is 5.5”.
Being 6 lug it naturally goes very fat, and I think the extra depth really does wonders too, not to mention the nickel over brass hoops!
Original duco finish is in incredible shape. Don’t let the light reflections confuse you, this drum is in amazing condition.
Nickel hardware is in really nice shape, too.
Freshly stripped, cleaned and polished in January 2026.
Fitted with brand new Remo Vintage Ambassador and Ambassador snare side heads and Puresound Custom Pro wires.
