1960s Gretsch Round Badge 'Name Band' No. 4157 Model 14x5.5" in Blue Sparkle Pearl

6-ply shells with Silver Sealer interior and original paper tag stating model: 4157 and serial: 53393.
Original Blue Sparkle Pearl wrap.
Original chrome hardware including die cast hoops, internal dampener and snap-in drum key holder (although there is no drum key included).
Throw off is new 'Micro-Sensitive' modern replacement which is a lovely upgrade as the original ones rarely work properly. This modern design has a lock in engagement so wires won’t slip off like with the old ones.
Original wrap is in nice condition.
Hardware on the whole is in good condition, but does show some aging in places, particularly the bottom hoop.
Unlike a lot of Gretsch’s of this era, Remo heads fit with no trouble at all.
Stripped, cleaned and polished. Fitted with brand new Remo Coated Ambassador and Ambassador Hazy heads with brand new Puresound 30 strand wires.
