Early 1970's Premier '111 Outfit' in original Black Duroplastic Wrap

Sized: 20x14", 12x8", 14x14". All drums are standard sized, and fit modern heads perfectly.

3-ply mahogany shells with beech reinforcing rings.

These sizes in all mahogany shells makes this a very desirable set.

Freshly stripped, cleaned and polished. Now fitted with brand new Remo heads and original Premier front bass drum head. Toms are fitted with Remo Vintage Ambassador and Coated Ambassador reso, and bass drum batter is Remo Coated Ambassador.

The kit is all original, apart from the brand new heads. Toms feature all original internal mufflers, slotted tension rods, floor tom legs and tom mount. The tom mount being centre mounted would benefit left hand players nicely too.

This kit came to me from a family who have had it since new. The kit has always been stored in leather cases and the drums are in remarkable condition. The chrome is the best I've seen on a Premier kit of this age. The bass drum hoops only have scuffs where the claws have been. At fifty years of age, she really has survived unscathed.

The original black duroplastic wrap is in fantastic shape and the pictures probably don't do it justice as there are a lot of sunny reflections.

I have stripped the bass drum hoops of their original silver finish. I wanted to inject some colour into this set and I really do think the contrast brightens them up nicely. There is slight splits on the bass drum hoops inbetween plys but they still work as they should. The previous owner put electric tape over the batter side hoop to protect it from scuffing, but this has left a bit of marking where the residue once sat. This is at 12o'clock and 6o'clock, where the bass drum pedal attaches and where a cowbell mount once was.
